| M1-Ridgbor Extension Bits These bits will cut through Metal lath, Nails, Knots, and "Hard Woods" easily. Most bell are made of carbon tool steel, suitable for wood only. The Ridgbor is made of the same M-1 steel used in bits manufactured for production cutting of tough metals. The unique difference between the reduced series M-1 Ridgbor° and other HSS extension bits is the secondary machining process. The Reduced M-1 Ridgbors are machined down, all the way into the bottom of the flute allowing 100% chip clearance and smooth, non-binding penetration. Especially suitable for drilling through both metal and wood (including nail embedded wood). The Ridgbor does not have a wire pull hole. |

Carbon Steel Bell Hangers These Bell Hangers are wood boring bits with a carbon steel tip that are available for those who like a softer steel bit that is easier to re-sharpen (can be re-sharpened with a hand file). These bits are slightly tapered and have a wire pull hole at the bit tip.
Carbide Tipped Bell Hangers Perfect for drilling through light aggregate concrete-masonry, including brick, cinder block, plaster, and stucco and wood. Designed primarily for rotary drill motors and are not recommended for hammering through stone or slag concrete. These bits do have a wire pull hole at the bit tip for pulling wire. |

| Freeform Bell Hangers These Bell Hangers by American Flex that have a high speed steel, aggressive fast spiral design and a wire pull hole at the chuck end. The 1/4" shaft is great on shorter lengths for strength when drilling through headers. Made with "metal cutting" grade high speed steel, this bit is not to be confused with softer(high carbon steel) bits with a hole. The tooling required to put a hole in this particular grade of steel is a complex, labor intensive process. The WH Series is the 2 Hole Series that has a 118° split point, slow spiral, high speed steel bit tip for additional strength. |
