| Freeform Flexbits These American manufactured, high speed extended flex bits are available with a super flexible 3/16" shaft. The 3/16" shaft is most often requested on lengths over 24" for bit manipulation. These bits have a high speed steel, aggressive fast spiral design and a wire pull hole at the chuck end. Made with "metal cutting" grade high speed steel, this bit is not to be confused with softer(high carbon steel) bits with a hole. The tooling required to put a hole in this particular grade of steel is a complex, labor intensive process. The WH Series is the 2 Hole Series that has a 118° split point, slow spiral, high speed steel bit tip for additional strength. |
| The Optibit System This Optibit is easy to resharpen with a file. All the Optibits listed on this page have a 3/16" flexible shaft, 3 precision ground flats (prevents slippage), and 2 wire pull holes (one at each end). The shaft is bonded up into the bit tip for additional strength. Designed with slow back-tapers for easy retrieval. Feedback from our customers has been only positive with respect to this line.
