Air Handling Red Cable Ties These Air Handling Red Cable Ties are suitable for use in air
handling spaces. They are UL 94 Flammability: Class V-2, 6/6 nylon ties. They meet the
fire and safety requirements of NFPA 700-1993, NEC 300-22(C) and (D) as per UL
guide lines. They are also UL Listed, not just UL recognized, which is sometimes an
additional specification that is required. These AHR ties are RED in color for easy
identification. The manufacturer ensures that these ties have been approved, and UL
Listed for "air handling space" applications. These ties are being marketed by certain
suppliers at inflated prices as simply "plenum rated" ties. Others are still paying outrageous
prices for Halar* ties in applications where AHR cable ties are approved for use. We
figured it was a good idea to set the record straight and market them appropriately.
